Officers

Ingrid Miles, President

Ingrid has been a resident of Ipswich for 38 years – also known as a newcomer in a town that was founded in 1634. She and her husband have 2 grown sons and had attended Ipswich schools. Ingrid began her role as President for IEF in 2020 and has served as a community servant consistently including Board of Selectpersons for 2 terms, Fincom for 2 terms, Ipswich Housing Partnership coincidentally as well as various board positions. She is committed to preserving the heritage of this exceptional community demonstrated in the restoration of her 1728 home in the Architectural Preservation District. Ingrid is an original author (1 of 4 authors) of the Demolition Delay By-Law that is often noted during her real estate transactions for historic homes as REALTOR. One of her favorite volunteer efforts was as Chair of the Ipswich Riverwalk Project and overseeing the restoration of the footbridge in place over the Ipswich River (dedicated in 2006), a vision that grew out of 10 years of celebrating the significance of the Ipswich River (Ipswich River Festival). Having grandchildren has spurred on her commitment to education, no matter what age…we all can continue to learn!

David Mooradd, Vice President

David Mooradd is a husband and the father of two in the Ipswich school system. By day, he makes a living as a microwave and antenna systems engineer at MIT Lincoln Laboratory. He has been a resident of Ipswich since 2004. In that time period he has been engaged in various school community projects including serving as project foreman for the Winthrop playground build, and serving on the Select Board subcommittee to address the safety deficiencies of the five railroad crossings in town. What he has learned is that community engagement at all levels is impactful. By serving on the IEF David hopes to encourage and facilitate community engagement in ways both big and small that make a lasting impact on the enrichment and education opportunities of our youth, and help make Ipswich a place we can take pride in.

Bryan Satter, Treasurer

Bryan has been a resident of Ipswich since 2010, and along with wife Jamie, their son and daughter currently attend Ipswich Public Schools. Bryan began his role as treasurer for IEF in 2020. He has also served as treasurer for Ipswich Travel Basketball since 2018, and has been a volunteer coach for soccer, baseball and basketball in town. He is the president of the Satter Foundation, a family non-profit with a mission of contributing to grass-roots non-profits that make a difference in the community. He works at Hamilton-Wenham public schools, owns a videography business and is a real estate investor.

Ken has served on the Ipswich School Committee subcommittee on athletics for over ten years. He was a long time member and chairman for the last ten years of the Ipswich Select Board’s Athletic Fields Study Committee (AFSC). The AFSC precipitated the IHS Stadium Field project and the town’s acquisition of the Pony Express property. Ken also coached youth football, baseball and lacrosse and served on those boards. Ken is a systems engineer for Applied Materials in Gloucester.
