CHIP FUND
Mission
The Charlie Helps Ipswich (CHIP) Foundation, otherwise known as Charlie’s Fund, is established in partnership with the Ipswich Education Foundation (IEF) to provide meaningful and impactful ways to make big and small changes within the community he loved, specifically by supporting education, athletics and the community at large.
Goals
Building Self-Assurance
Charlie was passionate about connecting with others in meaningful ways to promote their confidence and self-esteem. He was a huge supporter of his friends, teammates, and classmates. We will continue his legacy to support and empower the children of the Ipswich schools to be confident and supported individuals. This goal will be achieved through targeted programs and partnerships with the Ipswich Education Foundation in support of education, athletics and the community at large.
Enabling Play
Charlie loved baseball. He had a keen eye for the ball and loved the dust, dirt, and grass that stained his well-worn uniform. He also loved being a member of a team and supporting his fellow teammates. Through this fund, we are committed to promoting and expanding access to sports. Our initial goal is to improve the Ipswich baseball fields by adding two new dugouts to Ipswich Little League facilities at Bialek Field.
Expanding Access
Charlie believed that all children deserved to be given the tools to learn, both inside and outside of the classroom. He also believed that everyone should strive to live their best lives in whatever way they choose to define that. In partnership with the Ipswich Education Foundations, programs and tools will be identified to support these goals.
